Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Emily Jane Forsyth and I am a designer and dressmaker based in Somerset, England.
I have been designing and making wedding dresses since 2003 and in that time I have worked with brides all over the UK and Worldwide.

On my website you will find pictures of my current designs, as well as some of my previous work for clients. My Designs
are a range of prototype styles I have made – which can be purchased as seen, or adapted to suit your tastes / needs.
You will find all the main styles on the gowns page of our website. Click on the picture to see more details on the each dress.

Most of the styles are available in a wide range of colours, and things like embroidery or embellishments can be done in the colour(s) of your choice. Features of the dress can be changed or adapted – like neckline shapes, sleeve style, skirt style etc. You can also combine your favourite features from different styles to make the dress perfect for you.

It is also worth looking at the Real Brides section to give you inspiration for your dress, as every dress is different and some have had adapted styles or completely bespoke designs which you may like.

When To Order

The manufacture time for a dress is usually about 8-10 weeks, so I usually aim to begin making the dress about 3 months before the wedding date. If you would like me to make your wedding dress, please contact me as soon as possible, as I book the manufacturing slots for orders in advance. I am usually booked 6 months to a year in advance, although it may be possible to accommodate last minute orders, so please do ask.

Placing an Order

I will need to know your name, address, contact telephone number and email along with the dress style you are interested in and your wedding date.
Alternatively you can fill in the order request form here to make initial contact and I will get back to you

When we have discussed the details of your dress, either via phone/e-mail, or in person if you would like to visit, then I will send you a confirmation of your booking including the details of the order and the date for manufacture and when your measurements and payment will re required. This confirmation is usually sent via email but can be posted to you on request.

When you place your order you will be given an order commencement date on the order contract and this is the date I will need your measurements and Payment by to begin making your dress.

Samples

I can send you a sample of the fabric to be used for your dress, or a few to choose from if you are undecided colour or fabric. 

Payment

The Payment for your dress is due at the start of the month in which your dress is being made (as detailed on your order confirmation). This payment is refundable for 14 days from the date it is made, as I will not start work on your dress within these first 14 days to allow you this refund period. After work has been started on your dress, because each garment is custom made to measure
this payment is non refundable (apart from under  certain circumstances as detailed in the Terms and Conditions which are viewable here).
Payments can be made via UK Cheque or Credit / Debit Card via PayPal.

When your payment is due you will be emailed the invoice and if you have requested to pay via PayPal I will send you a PayPal payment request for the invoice. Again please let me know if you would prefer to receive a paper copy of these items.

Measurements

If you are taking and sending your own measurements then I will email you a guide which shows you how and where to take the measurements.
If you would like to come and have your measurements taken then I will email you to arrange an appointment for this.

Manufacture & Fittings

Your dress will be made as we have discussed in the design you have chosen and the fabrics and colours you have chosen, to your own personal measurements.
If you are coming for a fitting then when the dress is ready to be tried on I will contact you to arrange an appointment.

Collection & Delivery

When your dress is finished, you can come and collect it or have it Delivered.  If you are collecting then I will contact you to arrange the appointment.
Delivery within the UK is £35 via Royal Mail Special Delivery (Tracked and Insured)
Delivery outside of the UK is £150 via Parcelforce Global Priority which is a Fully Tracked and Insured Service.

If you are ordering from outside the EU – Please be aware of the possibility of customs charges which may be applied when the goods enter your country, I cannot calculate or include these for you.
